Getting Listed

We offer 3 types of Listings

Paid Listing are displayed first, ahead of free listing and only Paid Listings have a web link to your website, map and description.

Paid Listing: Enter your email address, you will be redirected to payment page after which you can insert a New Listing.

Upgrade: Upgrading your existing Free Listing to a Paid Listing with a
Website Link and Description:

1. First Login by entering your Free Listing's contact email and password in the Upgrade section to the right then click the Upgrade button.

2. A second page will appear. Click the Upgrade link that matches the Listing you wish to Upgrade.

3. The Listings information will appear to the right. Click the Upgrade button again for payment processing.

Free Listing: No cost. However, listing will not display your Website Link, Map or Description (basic phone book information only).

Please read our Rules and Regulations below before adding a Listing.

Rules and Regulations:

We have a full rules as to whom can list on Canada-Tourism.org and CanuckTourism. Please Read before adding a listing. Common sense dictates what a tourism only business is. We'll remove any listing that we deem has no value to the average tourist traveling in Canada.

Only tourism related business will be added, in most cases retail related business are not allowed. An example would be as follows:

A Golf Course is allowed while a retail store selling golf equipment is not allowed.
We reserve the right to move or delete free listings that do not relate to the category. An example would be adding a Bed and Breakfast under any category other than Bed and Breakfast.
Travel Agencies, Commercial Listing Websites and Companies not located within Canada are not allowed to insert a listing.
You must have a website that is not hosted by a Free Hosting site
(e.g. Angelfire or any free hosting site that displays advertising).

If you do not have a website we suggest GoDaddy.com where you can get a website and/or domain name for as little as $60 a year.

We only allow website links to a few major third party listing company.
An example would be BBCanada but not Official City, Town websites or third party Campsite websites. Please get your own website as opposed to a Listing from another website as we may not allow it.
No logos: We want to see your business. A stand alone company logo as your image is not allowed. Exceptions are signage or super-imposed logos that are no larger than 1/2 the total image size.
If you are a major Hotel chain we could give you a separate according dropdown for all your affiliates by Province on the right side of our website. Email us for pricing.

Category Rules:

Accommodations:	Only one listing is allowed under any category. An exception would be - a resort with a golf course could also add the golf course under golfing.
Attractions & Events:	Major festivals, tourism attraction or amusement parks
Fishing & Hunting:	Only Lodges, Guides dedicated to this business
Outdoor Adventures:	Biking, Walking, Kayaking, Climbing Companies
Museum & Galleries:	Major Museum, Galleries & Artists, not retail galleries.
Transportation:	Taxis, Limos, Air Services, Buses
Visitor Services:	Only Official City, Town or Regional tourism websites.

We reserve the right to delete or make changes to any Listing, including content, description, images, etc. at any time without notice when the Listing deems to break any of the above rules.
